Welcome! To ALL my lovely NEW & beautiful VETERAN, Chasers! 🎭

Claude Monet famously disposed of a number of his paintings in the final years of his career. In 1908, upset with a series of waterlily paintings, he was composing for an upcoming exhibition, he took a knife to at least fifteen of these works, delaying his Paris exhibition. Here is an ARTICLE I found on other artists who hated their own work.

If you hear a voice within you say, β€˜You cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced” – Vincent Van Gogh

Q: What do you do when you HATE your own ART?Β

Do you hide it away from the rest of the world's view?Β If something about the finished product displeases you do you still call it art?Β If something that you have written makes you feel bad do you still put it out into the world? If your work of art hasn’t excited you, how do you feel about the next project? Does it put you off? Do you know why your art hasn’t pleased you? If it didn’t go the way you wanted it to, do you destroy it or edit / alter it or call it a day? What if it disgusts and/or humiliates you to look at it and freaks you out? What do you do to help you overcome your opinion? Do you have any further thoughts to add to this topic?

β€œDon't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” – Andy Warhol.

Q: What inspires you to make ART?

A: For me it is getting myself into a state of Limerence over SOMETHING or over my project, a person - muse or otherwise and enjoying other people’s art and their ambition. I act by obsession and on big heavy emotion(s) too much for me to carry. Impulse plays a role in it too. I find it so cathartic and the process exorcises my demons with the finished product exercising my brain into healing my ego’s esteem.

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” – Pablo Picasso

Are you have an aspiring artist who needs a bit of inspiration now and then in his or her creating?

Feel like a bit of gratitude self-reflection? MAKE A LIST PERSONAL TO YOU and / or WRITE DOWN WHAT EACH ONE MEANS FOR YOU.
