HellOoo π Chasers! π
Welcome to this MIDNIGHT ISSUE for MONDAY 30 OCTOBER 2023 which features the usual accompanying (and standalone) recording which I like to keep fresh as an alternative to what you read and see in the images provided and give that little bit more information for you to consider. This time I would like to introduce you to the original chapbooks dated 1981 created and published posthumously by the mother and father, through photography and poetry respectively, following a the tragic death of their daughter, Eilidh Boadella. Pictured below (image from original chapbooks).
Tonight's audio is recorded as close to podcast format as possibly - in that its always difficult for me to sound 'utmost professionalβ and remain in that tone, especially as I am just a regular northern woman speaking directly into her phone. This is a standalone addition to the article. Iβd love to have a listen whilst looking through the rest of this newsletter. My upfront apologies for any pauses or background noise.
I Wonβt Paint Any Tears by Eilidh Boadella
Baptism Of Fire by David Boadella
David Boadella appears in this video below dated 12 years ago (he was aged 70) This is him talking in his professional capacity and is wholly unrelated to his poetry or daughter. It is interesting to hear him speaking about his pioneering in the field of his dedicated occupation. I notice that Dr. Boadella speaks with compassionate conviction and with my understanding of his loss makes everything he says feel tinged with silent dignity. This video is part 1 of 6 parts.
I Looked For You by Elsa Corbluth
If you haven't already had a listen to the accompanying recording please consider doing so as I refrained from posting the sensitive art and information in its entirety in print and I expressed my own reactions in the podcast too or maybe, if this wasnβt really for you it might be possible that you know somebody else who would enjoy this newsletter? if so then please consider sharing. Thank you..π
I usually finish with a themed photograph of myself. In this instance I would feel uncomfortable to post a personal picture here tonight. In its place I have a taken a photograph of the entire familyβs chapbook collection for us to reflect upon.
Finally, a HUGE THANK YOU FOR READING π please consider showing some love with a heart or a share, I would love to see you come back next time too..xxx
