ARMCHAIR TRAVELLERS! Aural Contraband...💋
take a trip with me all here in one place a quick 7 song playlist!! xx
Dear Chasers! aka my favourite Armchair Travellers!..💋
The first thing you should know about my taste in music is that its as extensive as selective memory and as obscure as fish shop gravy used to be down south in London. Maybe… hmmn, well, that’s a bit of shitty analogy haha. I don’t think would possibly know how else to explain it. Well, go on then, seen as though this is supposed to be an introduction - I might as well try… <3
If you like your music without politics or preconceptions and are seeking a break from the norm, you may have just found your new hangout. It's chill out Cap'n, But not as we know it! Crate digging adventures transformed into audio gymnastics for your in-flight entertainment ...the nearest I can get to public masturbation legally.
These Playlists are selectively crafted and curated with love by me, Chasey Delaney (aka SOPOETIC in the DJ world) and we all know that I am a music lover.
I choose playlists which I believe are made for lovers, not just of music but real soul searchers, dreamers and believers! every playlist will be different .
Please remember that not only will select different songs or a choose a change of genre. I will bring forth anything and everything, colouring outside the lines ;-)
We can relax, unwind or get excited, twisted, mangled-spangled, cry, drown out our sorrows, sing for our supper and all the while I will be aiming to serve a stiff 2 fingers to the nasty genre police ;-) with you riding shotgun by my side!
I always tend to fuck mix things up, emotions, feelings, vibes and all kinds - with music it pays off and i always get it right! All these playlists are designed for just you and me - us. There are NO RULES so expect the unexpected and join me on this ride tonight.
I always include eclectic selections in every single issue of The Daily Chase’s - Armchair Travellers *new playlists* feature.

Wednesday 1 November 2023 Playlist
1. UB40 -Bring Me Your Cup (Cover)
A song that always makes me happy is UB40 - Bring Me Your Cup but even that’s too mainstream and dare I say it but that would have been far too easy. On this opening occasion I would have to go with this little gem of Soul/R&B cover by Wayne The Wizard (WZRD) on Soundcloud. Guess what else? I can’t be arsed with getting your up off your arse and out of your armchairs with links to the music here, there and everywhere so we’re listening to what I own tonight. I’ll just share with you the files directly from my own collection. Check this out..!!
2. Still Corners - Sad Movie (Original)
A song that helps me when I feel sad for missing someone that is unattainable but still so incredibly lovely and nice and kind and someone oblivious towards my feelings. I highly recommend listing to their full album called Slow Air also available on Bandcamp.
3. Travis - Driftwood (Cover)
A song to listen to when reminiscing over a time in your past and also hopeful for the future at the same time. I discovered this cover just recently, I’ve been playing it on repeat and its beautiful. I think the musical element in the background could be made by an artist called Turtle as its not the original soundtrack to the Travis song. The vocalist is the amazing Eliza Shaddad. This is a modern and epic tribute!
4. Massive Attack - Teardrop (Edit)
A song for mind expansion! Its awesome. It goes beyond just ‘chill’… this is a recent edit by Bowie & Kaan and with is melancholia essence it has this secret way of alleviating all troubles and problems from the mind and just melting away. Its strangely uplifting too.
5. The Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter (Edit)
THIS !! this is my favourite feel good edit of all time and speaks for itself. The Oddness School did a cracking job of this edited version.
6. The Police - Roxanne (Rework)
A song for zoning into the atmospheric pace with the oomph of bass. I picked it for this part of the playlist as a pallet cleanser. This is a really well done rework by David Hasert that packs a good punch. Bon Appetite!
7. Marvin Gaye - Inner City Blues (Edit)
This last song is a deeply satisfying mellow down classic and even noicer is this seamless Bona Fide Edit. Thank you for listening with me. I hope you dig it..!! x
